OCEAN KING MAIN GAMEPLAY
1. Start the game – Insert coins into the coin acceptor (or note/s into the note acceptor if you have purchased that option) to start playing the game.

2. Select your weapon – Ocean King features a new cumulative super gun, as well as two other fish hunter weapons to choose from. All the guns have different net sizes and power levels, and players can change their gun at any stage during the game using the ‘WEAPON’ change button.
3. Take your aim! – Players must use the joystick to aim their net gun at a target. There are 16 types of fish for players to try and catch, including four new species! The different fish up for grabs include: Clown Fish, Snapper, Lantern Fish, Devilfish, Lionfish, Saw Sharks, Butterfly Fish, Sharks, Octopi, Fugus, Lobsters, Spearfish, Sea Turtles, Flounder, the Ocean Lord Killer Whale, the Humpback Whale, and the Bomb Crab.
4.Fire at will! – When players have lined up a target, they hit the ‘SHOOT’ button to try and catch the fish. All the fish have different point values so it’s good to try and be a little selective in what you try and catch.
5. Ending the game – When you have finished hold down the payout button for 3 seconds to receive your earnings!

When the Bomb Crab is captured by a player it explodes and the player can get extra points from the explosion if it affects other fish.
There are nine types of fish which are subject to Chain Thunder: Snapper, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flounder, Lobster, Spearfish and Octopus. Use the chain thunder to get up to nine kinds of fish at once and win extra points depending on how many fish, and how many different types of fish, are present on the screen at the time.
Each fish (except Devilfish, Shark, Killer Whales, Humpback Whales and Bomb Crabs) has a Twister feature. When a player picks up the twister feature, the fish with the twister feature at the time captures all the same fish near it for the player.

The game features 17 fishy characters, 3 crab characters, 3 JUMBO fish (Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, and Fugu), and 4 BOSS characters - all in improved 3D rendered graphics, which create a stunning visual effect that Ocean King has become well known for. Players must try to catch these characters with their tube gun, which has 3 settings - Normal Speed, Accelerated Speed, and Aim for the Target. Each round has a time restriction on it, so players must try to catch as many fish as possible in the given time. These fish characters have different values and are operator adjustable to either a low Odds Level or a high Odds Level. Species include: Devilfish, Flying Fish, Butterfly Fish, Clown Fish, Flatfish, Lionfish, Lantern Fish, Spearfish, Saw Shark, Lobster, Fugu, Sea Turtle, Shark, Octopus, Killer Whale, Whale King, and Blazing Dragon. The Boss characters are super tough and are known as the Almighty Octopus, Emperor Crab, Darkness Monster, and Ancient Crocodile. The crab characters include Super Bomb Crab, Laser Crab, and Drill Crab - these appear at random and double as mini games: -Super Bomb Crab – catching a Super Bomb Crab will trigger the chained bomb attack in a wide explosion, affecting and/or catching many of the fish on the playfield at the time. -Laser Crab – players who catch the Laser Crab will be rewarded with a special Laser Beam weapon for a limited time only – it’s a one shot weapon though, so use it wisely! -Drill Crab – the Drill Crab gives the player a special ‘Breaking Drill weapon that fires penetrating drills around the playfield, giving players more chances to catch fish. After a while the drill explodes affecting and/or catching even more fish within range. Other Ocean King 2: Ocean Monster mini-games include: -Lightning Chain – catching a fish with the lightning chain effect will start catching other fish automatically until it runs out and players receive the value of all fish caught. The species that can appear with the Lightning Chain effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, and Octopus. -Vortex Fish – catching a fish with the Vortex effect will suck all the other fish of it's kind on the playfield into a whirl pool. Species who can appear with the Vortex effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, Octopus, Lantern Fish, Sea Turtle, and Saw Shark. -Fire Storm – is a random time limited game and is desgined for one player at a time. The player who is awarded the mini-game will receive a flamethrower, which causes extreme damage to fish and multiplies their values. Players can also obtain additional time and multiply their score during the game. -Golden Treasures – a time limited game with a mulitplayer function. Players use a special searchlight to look for the Imperial Whale and the Golden Fish to try and catch them and get high scores. Players may also get a roulette treasure box that adds in or multiplies the total scores.
